FY19 Chief Petty Officer selectees from commands across NAS Patuxent River attended a daylong class at the Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) Aug. 9 to learn about the services available to them and their Sailors.
“They’re going from the role of first class petty officers into the chief ranks where they’re considered subject matter experts in their technical field who will manage programs, develop policies and lead and develop Sailors,” said Angela Armer, FFSC’s transition program manager.
