The memory of two of her men burning to death, trapped in an Army truck, still haunts Kyra Tracy Watkin.
It was spring 2012 and, as a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, Watkin was on her first tour of duty in Afghanistan, serving as a battalion intelligence officer. Filling in for the operations officer in a convoy unit, she was awakened in the middle of the night.
