N.C. Bill Would Protect In-State Tuition

Service members who are taking college courses often get deployed or temporarily assigned out of state, causing them to lose their in-state tuition status. A bill in North Carolina has been introduced to allow military personnel to pay in-state tuition fees at community colleges, as long as they stay enrolled, reports the Fayetteville Observer.

“We’re just trying to continue to remain a military-friendly state,” said Democratic Rep. Elmer Floyd.
