In partnership with the Salvation Army, Georgia Military College plans to address the lack of technological resources available within the Milledgeville community, according to WMGT.
Five computers were installed in the local Salvation Army store for both students in the center’s after school program and adults to access internet.
“We envision the use of computers for the entire community,” said Cynthia Edwards, the director of the Salvation Army, in a statement. “But especially for the community across from the Salvation Army at the Riverbend Apartments. We also envision helping the community reach the 21st century by assisting in showing them how to navigate technology, which has become a way of life.”
