UT Confirms New Cluster of COVID-19 Cases Stems From Army ROTC Program

UTThe University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UT) reported a new cluster of COVID-19 cases, which was linked to a field training exercise meeting hosted by the school’s Army ROTC program Oct. 10, according to Knox News.

A cluster consists of at least five positive cases or 20 individuals who have been in close contact with the virus from the same location. UT currently has 62 active cases and 341 people in isolation, Knox News reported.

There have been nine other confirmed clusters at UT throughout the fall semester, however, the first in over a month. The first cluster stemmed from an off-campus party.
