Kristin Lindsay has become the second woman to achieve the highest U.S. Coast Guard rank in her career field as a criminal investigator: Chief Warrant Officer 4 Criminal Investigator, The News Courier reported.
As an investigator, Lindsay specializes in adult and child sex crimes, covert electronics, behavioral assessment and threat management, undercover operations, narcotics trafficking, homicide investigations, and general criminal investigations.
Lindsay’s promotion was made official May 23. Having served in the U.S. Coast Guard since 2002, she has conducted search and rescue and narcotics smuggling operations as a vessel operator; defended oil platforms in disputed waters between Iraq and Iran; and trained Iraqi military on vessel law enforcement boarding tactics and procedures.
Lindsay holds a bachelor’s degree in homeland security/emergency management and a master’s degree in public administration.
