WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–USAA and PsychArmor Institute today unveiled a first-of-its-kind online “School for Military and Veteran Caregivers and Families.” This educational and proactive support program provides free educational content for military and veteran caregivers, who consist of family and friends who voluntarily care for wounded, ill or injured military service members or veterans.
The courses in the new online school cover a range of subjects that have been identified by military and veteran caregivers as educational needs, including subjects like “Understanding Invisible Wounds of War at Home,” which is comprised of seven online courses that educate and advise caregivers on supporting loved ones with injuries such as PTSD, TBI, depression, and substance use disorder that are not visible.
