LEWISTON (WGME) — White Star Mother Linda Lajoie, who lost her son, an Afghanistan veteran, to suicide, was on the University of Southern Maine Lewiston campus Monday, creating awareness about the problem.
22 silhouettes were placed in the lobby of the campus. Each one bears the name of a Maine veteran who has fallen victim to suicide.
Lajoie wants people to become familiar with the signs of PTSD, and to know that there is a lot of help out there.
