“Even at basic training all the Soldiers called me grandma and now I’m still grandma to Soldiers, but just in a different way,” said Daisy Johnson, senior career counselor at the Pfc. Milton A. Lee Soldier for Life-Transition Assistance Program center.
Johnson earned the nickname because she joined the military at 25 years old after attending a community college for a few years.
